Basilica Minore de San Sebastian, better known as San Sebastian Church, is the first and only neo-gothic all-steel church in the country and in Asia. Built in 1888, it is believed that Gustav Eiffel, the same French engineer who built the world famous Eiffel Tower, may have been involved in the design of its metal structure. San Sebastian Church was declared by the Philippine government as a National Historical Landmark in 1973. The church is located at Plaza del Carmen, at the eastern end of Claro M. Recto, in Quiapo, Manila.
